Heath Ledger should win, not because he died (although it would be sad if he died without ever winning an award), but because he made the character his own and it was AMAZING.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was absolutely flawless in Doubt, positively seductive, despite his creepiness and rotundness. I haven't seen the other movies, so I can't say he should win, but I was quite impressed with his performance!
